About this fly

The Elk Hair Caddis is Al Troth's masterpiece, a pattern that has caught more trout in the West than almost any other dry fly. Our in-house version is tied on Tiemco 100 hooks with elk hair from a local ranch. The dubbed body is tightly wound for durability. High-floating, durable, and visible in choppy water. Fish it with or without a dropper. Works on every river in Montana from June through October.
